Samba da benção translates to 'samba of blessing' in Portuguese and is also the title of a beautiful song.
During this Mother Blessing we will celebrate the mother-to-be while incorporating the essence of the Afro-Brazilian samba music. A Mother Blessing is a rite of passage ceremony, celebrating the maiden becoming a mother or the mother becoming mother anew.
The women present will focus on making mama feel beautiful, Loved, supported and free from worry. We will use our voices to speak loving wishes and sing songs. We will move our hips to the rhythm of the samba drums to release tension and sit in stillness to connect with intention.
